Case Study 2 Bob Roberts

I enjoyed this case study and learned a good amount of information about the client, and the way OT was incorporated with his case. Robert was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 71. Before being diagnosed he enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with his family. I found it interesting that Robert did not enjoy going to his therapy sessions, until one day his OT decided to change the way he viewed therapy. The OT came in and told Bob that they were going to skip therapy today and have some fun. For the whole session they played cards, and Bob enjoyed every second of it. I think it's great that as therapist we can change client's views on therapy, and make it enjoyable for them. Not only is it enjoyable, but it's also an effective intervention. Great discussion Sarah!
