"Putting OT Theory Into Action"

I love this article and the point it's trying to make in relation to Ann. I feel so bad for the way Ann and her husband were treated. It seems that both the OT and PT did not treat Ann in a holistic way, but rather treated her with interventions that were somewhat helpful, but did not completely meet that needs and areas that matter most to Ann. As a future OT, I look forward to treating my client's with a top down approach/holistic manner. True success as an OT is measured by how well we meet the client's needs in direct relations to their biggest concerns and barriers. Our job is to break down current and "future" barriers, by doing this we enable our client's to get back to being the best version of themselves. I also enjoyed the section about Dismi and how proper use of the PEO model reversed her situation and helped her have a new outlook on her occupation of math. Overall this article is a perfect example of why it's important to understand our models and how they relate to different client's.
